IONOS (1and1) domain pointing

1. From within your 1and1 Account, click on Manage Domain in the middle of the screen.
2. Click DNS along the navigation menu.
3. Locate the A record with the "www" Host Name. 
4. Click the gear icon to the right of this record and click Delete Record.
5. On the next screen, click Delete.
6. Select Add record.
7. 
8. Click CNAME.
9. Enter www as the Host Name.
10. Enter aws.storageunitsoftware.com as Points To value.
11. Leave TTL at 1 hour.
12. Click Save. 
13. You may get a "service will be disabled" message. Scroll down and click Save again if this appears.
14. Once back on your DNS screen, confirm the new CNAME record for WWW exists.

Forward Root Domain:

1. From your DNS screen, scroll up above the DNS navigation and click Adjust Destination.
2. Click Forward Domain.
3. Under Redirect to destination enter https://www.domain.com (replace "domain" with your root domain name).
   Uncheck the box that says Also set up for www.subdomain.
   Redirect type should be HTTP Redirect

4. Click Save. 

5. Email or Call Support Once Completed.

The last step in the process to connect the domain is to contact Easy Storage Solutions Support and provide us with the domain URL that you are connecting to. We need to enter that information in our system in order for the point and forward settings to work and the website to go live.
