DNS settings for a Godaddy domain

Follow the instructions below to connect your Godaddy domain to your ESS website.

1. Sign in to your Godaddy account.

2. Scroll down to where you see your domain(s) listed.

3. Find the domain you want to update and click on manage.

4. Scroll down to the Additional Settings section and click Manage DNS.

5.  In the records section, find the line item with CNAME as the type and www as the name. Click edit to the right.

6. Type  aws.storageunitsoftware.com in the VALUE section. Click Save.

7. Make sure the nameservers are set to default. They don't have to match exactly what the screenshot shows, just confirm that it states "using default nameservers". (Warning: If you are using another website currently, changing the nameservers will delete that website! It's always a good idea to take a screenshot of your current nameservers in case you need to access your old site again.)

8. Scroll down and find the forwarding section. Click Add on the domain line.

9.  Change http to https://. In the field to the right, you will then type in your entire domain WITH www at the front. So if your domain is tttministorage.com, you would type in www.tttministorage.com. Click save.

Pro Tip (This should NOT be the subdomain ending in ".storageunitsoftware.com" This need to be their actual website address.)

10. Email support@storageunitsoftware.com and send us the domain name so we can update our servers with your domain information. Thanks!
