Follow the instructions below to edit which fields are required when a customer creates their own profile online.
1. Hover over the Customers tab.
2. Click Field Settings sub-tab.
3. There are two types of fields the customers will be asked to fill out online: Required fields and Optional fields. If a field is required, the customer must enter an answer before they can move on with their rental. Fields that are not required may still show online, but it is up to the customer whether or not they enter a response.
Required information has an asterick next to the field, while optional fields do not.
To delete a field or question
1. Go to Customers > Field Settings and click Edit to the far right of the line item you want to remove.
4. Change Show on Signup to NO in the dropdown. Then click Update.
To add a field or question
1. Go to Customers > Field Settings and scroll down and type the question you need filled out. Mark whether the question requires a response or if the response is optional. Then click Create Custom Field.
2. When you create a custom field setting, the software automatically creates a placeholder for that field. Those placeholders are often used in the storage agreement. For example if your facility allows the storage of vehicles and you would like to have the VIN on file. You can create a custom field setting for the VIN and then go over to the storage agreement (Setup > Settings) and insert the [[VIN]] placeholder into the document.
