1. Hang Cloud Controller
Mount Controller in a climatized unit or office (Min-Max operating temps are -4 to 140 degrees F).
There are 3 mounting holes in the case of the Cloud Controller.
2. Run Wire
Run 22/6 Shielded wire to each keypad from the cloud controller.
Run 18/2 stranded wire to the gate operator motor from the cloud controller (This is not the gate power, the gate operator will need its own power supply).
NOTE: Ethernet cable or Cat 5/6 is not recommended for a keypad or operator wiring due to smaller gauge wire and possible electrical interference.
3. Mount and Wire Keypad(s)
a. Remove the keypad mounting bracket. Slide keypad wiring through the keypad bracket, buffer plate center hole and connect keypad wiring with B-connector splices (RED, BLACK, GREEN, WHITE, BROWN). *It is possible to pull wiring through after mounting but only if the splices used will fit through the hole.*
b. Mount keypad buffer plate to face of gooseneck pedestal with carriage bolts (not included).
c. Slide wiring back into the pedestal, line up, and secure the keypad mounting bracket into the two guide holes on the buffer plate face.
d. Re-mount the Push Button Keypad reader onto to keypad bracket and tighten the bracket screws.
4. Wire Gate Operator Motor
Check your gate opener motor manual for correct terminals to connect 18/2 wire (On this Liftmaster board you can connect to both terminals at Exit)(Not polarity sensitive).
5. Wire Cloud Controller
Wire Keypads as pictured Below (22/6 wire)
Gate operators wire to C and NO (18/2 wire)
Connect positive and common to the power supply terminals.
Wire Power Supply.
Plug in Ethernet.
Check for Ethernet activity lights. See Image below.
(You should see a flashing green on the right and a solid orange on the left.)
6. Power up System
Plug the Transformer into an electrical outlet.
NOTE: Do not disconnect power or ethernet for at least 5 minutes after powering up the cloud controller. When it first turns on it checks for updates and downloads/installs the latest version.
7. Call us at 435-656-1990 Option 2 for Configuration and Website Integration.
Once everything is wired and connected call us to configure your controller(s) and integrate your ESS website.
(Optional) Connecting a 12Volt Electric Door Strike to a cloud controller or single door controller.
a. Use supplied jumper on top two pins of J9 terminals.
b. Power the strike from the positive terminal on the first grey connector and connect the negative side to NO.
c. Use the supplied Diode between positive and common from the electric strike (Install the Diode at the Electric Strike; The stripe goes towards the positive wire).
